How a match is recorded

The site reads every server we run twice a minute, so a match here begins when the server moves onto a map and ends when it moves onto the next one, while everything each player's scoreboard added up to in between is kept on the match. A win goes to the side in front when the server moved on, which is how a Control Zone match ends once a faction reaches the score limit.

The same readings feed the server leaderboard, so a kill counts on a match exactly when it counts on the board. Players are named the way the scoreboard named them, and a player who has connected Steam to an account here is linked to their profile on every match they played, the ones from before they connected included.

Questions

How is a match recorded?

The site reads every server we run twice a minute. A match begins when the server moves onto a map and ends when it moves onto the next one, and everything each player's scoreboard added up to in between is kept on the match.

Why is a match I played missing?

A match is listed once it had at least 4 players on at its peak and ran for at least 5 minutes, so an empty server rolling through its rotation does not fill the list. It also has to be over: the match in progress is on the servers page.

Why does a match say no result?

A win is recorded when the side in front reached the score limit and the server moved on. A match changed early by hand, or one the site only saw part of, keeps its scores and names no winner.
