WARDOGS Vehicle Damage Calculator

Click the vehicle to place shots. Every blast resolves from its impact point, and the board reads what is left.

Early build · use with caution

The vehicle damage model is still being tuned. Shot counts and section damage here are estimates, and some may differ from what happens in the game. Expect the numbers to move. A result that disagrees with the game is worth a report on the Discord.

WARDOGS Vehicle Damage Calculator

Pick a vehicle and a munition, then click the model where the shot lands. Every impact resolves from that point: the blast reaches each section within its radius, a hit on a part bleeds into the hull, and the next shot lands on whatever the last one left. The board reads what remains of the hull, the engine, the fuel tank, the wheels or tracks, and the rotors.

This is an early build. The model behind the board is still being tuned, so read every count as an estimate and expect it to move between updates.

Sections, and why they matter

A vehicle is a set of sections with their own health. Most carry a hull, an engine, a fuel tank and their wheels or tracks, and the L2A6 adds armor plating. Helicopters carry a main rotor and a tail rotor, and on the board losing either one downs the aircraft whatever the hull has left.

Where a shot lands decides which sections it reaches. A rocket into the engine bay hits the engine, the hull and the nearest wheels at once. The same rocket into the tailgate mostly finds the hull.

Small arms against vehicles

Rifle fire into a hull achieves little. Into a fuel tank it lands at several times what the hull lets through, which makes the tank the place to put a magazine when nothing heavier is to hand. Standard, AP and hollow point rounds can change the answer, so set the ammo before you read the table.

Reading the count honestly

The count assumes each shot lands where you clicked. A rocket that clips a wheel and one that goes into the engine bay are different events, and the board treats them that way. Run the sequence from a few angles before you trust a number, and treat the result as a plan rather than a promise while the model is being tuned.

Questions people ask

How many RPGs does it take to destroy a tank in WARDOGS?

Place RPG-7 shots on the L2A6 and count them off. The answer depends on where each rocket lands, since the blast reaches the tracks, the engine and the armor plating as well as the hull. The model is still being tuned, so read the count as a starting point and test it on the range.

Where should I shoot a vehicle in WARDOGS?

Wherever the board kills it fastest with the munition you carry. Engines and fuel tanks are softer than the hull against small arms, wheels and tracks stop it moving, and on the board a helicopter goes down the moment a rotor is destroyed.

Does C4 destroy vehicles in WARDOGS?

C4, the IED, the AT mine and the claymore are all on the board. Set one as the munition, place it on the vehicle, and read what the blast takes off each section.

Do bullets damage vehicles in WARDOGS?

Yes, and the section matters more than the caliber. A hull shrugs off most of a magazine. A fuel tank takes it far worse. Pick a caliber, choose standard, AP or hollow point, and place the shots.

How accurate is the vehicle damage calculator?

It is an early build. The board applies the vehicle damage rules as the site models them today, and parts of that model are still being checked shot for shot against the game. Treat every number as an estimate, and expect counts to change between updates.
