Finding a server in game
Open the Server Browser from the main menu and pick your region, then look for the name in the list. Our servers carry their settings in the name, so the row tells you the tick length and the map rotation before you join.
Every server here is open to anyone with a copy of the game. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to ask for, and a reserved slot only changes what happens when the server is already full.
What a reserved slot does
A reserved slot puts you ahead of everyone without one when a server has filled up, which on a busy evening is the difference between playing and waiting. It runs month to month, it is reserved for the Steam account you connect, and it goes some way towards paying for the machine the server sits on.
The account page shows what you hold and when it renews. The terms spell out cancellation and refunds.
Playing with the rest of us
Squads form on the Discord before most evenings, and it is where we post when a server goes down or comes back. If you want to read up first, the Field Manual covers how the Control Zone and the economy actually work.
