About Wardogs Zone

A community site for WARDOGS players, built and run by people who play it. Everything here is free, and the tools work without an account.

What this is

Wardogs Zone exists because WARDOGS asks you to make decisions that cost real money in the match, and the game gives you very little to make them with. You pay for a rifle before you have fired it, you pick a round without knowing what it does to armor, and you drop a forward operating base in a field without knowing what it will cost. Every tool on this site answers one of those questions before you spend anything.

The site opened during the WARDOGS alpha and has grown with the game since. It runs in the browser, it asks nothing of you to use, and the only part that needs an account is publishing your own work for other players to open.

What you can do here

The Base Builder lays a FOB out in 3D on the real map, prices it as you place each piece, and lets your squad build on the same plan at the same time. The armory database holds every weapon, attachment, round and vehicle with the links between them, so you can see what fits what before you buy it.

The calculators answer the questions that decide a fight. The damage calculator and the time to kill rankings tell you how long a target takes to drop through each armor class, while the artillery calculator gives you a firing solution on a real map board that your spotter can share with you live. The cash and XP calculator works out what a match is going to pay you before you play it.

If you would rather read than calculate, the Field Manual explains the systems in plain language and News and Guides covers what is worth buying, what changed in a patch and how the meta is moving.

Who runs it

Wardogs Zone is run by a small group of WARDOGS players who also run the Wardogs Zone Discord and the community game servers. Nobody here works for the studio, and nobody is paid to write any of it, so when a guide says a weapon is worth the money that is a player's opinion rather than a promotion.

The Discord is where most of it gets decided. Players ask for tools, report the things that are wrong, and argue about what a number really means, and a good share of what has shipped here started as somebody's suggestion in that server.

Keeping up with the game

WARDOGS changes often, and a site full of last patch's numbers is worse than no site at all, so the armory, the calculators and the maps are brought forward with each new build. Every change to the site itself is written down on the updates page, which is the quickest way to see what moved and when.

If you find something here that disagrees with what the game shows you, please tell us, because a wrong number costs somebody a match. The Discord is the fastest route and the contact page has the rest.

A fan project

Wardogs Zone is a fan-made community project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by BULKHEAD or Team17. WARDOGS and all related marks are property of their respective owners.

The site carries a small number of labelled ads so that the servers and the hosting pay for themselves, and the privacy page sets out exactly what is counted and what is stored. Players who want to help more directly can do it through Ko-fi, and it goes on hosting.
