this is the kit i used to grind up to the M4, add a supressor to this as soon as you can and sub in a bigger bag and 50 round mags when you have them unlocked, i would highly reccomend t2 body armour at the minimum here but you can get away with a t1 helmet. you need the c4 for breaching and popping enemy spawn apcs. at this point youre moving away from the medic xp and just grinding pure assault.
