This outer wall layout is designed to minimize the ability of the enemy to hide against the walls in order to ambush players entering and leaving. The bastions go in the corners of the fob, mut be built with the initial wall. The ravelins go in the middle of the long stretch of the wall. The ravelins are optional if the fort is square/rectangular. However, if the fort has bulges in the wall where someone could hide from the bastions, then a ravelin is necessary to cover all parts of the wall from raiders trying to ambush players leaving. The fort itself is designed to not have gates, to prevent enemies from blowing the gates and rushing in/leaving a gaping hole that cannot be repaired by a person with a medium hammer. The lack of a gate also focuses people through bastion choke points and kill boxes that force them to enter the base single file while being fired at from those inside the base bunkers or shelters. The walls can be as long or short as necessary, but each corner must have a bastion on it. However, I recommend only building two bastions with entrances. It is recommended that longer walls have a ravelin in the middle. It is also recommended that you double up on walls. I would not recommend placing the concrete walls on the outside as that could impede with firing angles from the bastions and ravelins and create hiding spots for ambushers. Build all of this and then have it destroyed by artillery lol.
Seen from above, ten metres a square. Point at a piece to name it, or press a line in the manifest to find every one of them. Gold is the FOB, red the stationary defences, green the support kit, blue the vehicles. Stage 4 of 4, the finished base.
427 pieces for 9128 supplies at this stage.
