The fort's cost without Drills is 5527. Always start with placing the Indirect Fire Shelter (2nd section) right in front of the FOB after you have surrounded it from other 3 sides (1st section). Immediately place doors at each entrance. This will be the citadel of your fort. The 3rd section you should build has to be the resources drop-off zone, notice that a Ural does not fit there so you have to ask drivers to drive in back-first, drop the pallettes and immediately drive off. Finish with sections 4-7 (outer walls and bastions), one bastion at a time. **Always make sure there are no gaps after you have built a new section.** These take the longest to build, but you should be able to finish them in ~12 minutes solo or in 4-5 minutes duo. As soon as all 6 sections are built - or even before that - place barbwire around the outer walls and bastions as in the scheme. The fort is now ready for defence. The last step is building the drills, it has probably been 30+ minutes since the match started and we need to start bringing value for our team. The weakest point of the fort are sandbags on the first floor bunkers. You must place barbwire before them AND place additional sandbags right behind the bunker ones to double them. This will triple the amount of C4 needed to get into a bunker.
